Inspired by Helen of Sparta in the latest film release, 300 A Rise of an Empire, we're highlighting Greece, Food + Design. Our spotlight is on jewelry & interior designer Alexandra Koumba, we fell in love with her eclectic and avant-garde style. Alexandra's inspiration is Greek mythology, Greek archetype symbols and nature. Her latest collection, My Eye for Design, was featured in Henri Bendel.

The design + style of your home is an expression of the self.
While in Athens visit her interior design boutique, it's the first Decorative Arts gallery in Greece. An avid collector of 20th century decorative arts, she scours auction houses and galleries on her travels looking for rare and unique furniture.

More About Alexandra Koumba

She collaborated with Ports 1961's Tia Cibani during the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week NYC Spring 2014. The accessory collection was inspired by artist Frida Kahlo. She was also the official accessories designer for LINKS of Londonduring the London 2012 Olympics Games.

The Offerings to the Gods

We're worshiping her 2014 collection, based on Lace, Botanica and The Spine (featured above). Everything is handmade in Greece ~ bronze plated in 18k gold, rose gold and silver.
